After the first year of the European project SUNRISE, the consortium celebrated a meeting via teleconference the days 9th and 10th of May 2022, with the objective that each partner shared their results and show the progress in their work packages.
The work developed during this period has been focused on detailed characterisations of commercial reference polyvinyl butyral (PVB) materials as well as PVB wastes. Characterisation methods including among others FT-IR, TGA, NMR and Raman has been developed and in the next 2 months will be correlated to extract conclusions about degradation status. In parallel the first design of inspection multisensory tool has been proposed & first working flow of the tool including constructive solutions for auxiliary systems have been defined.
In addition, it was presented the novelties in the web site of the project (https://sunrise-project.eu/), a section for newsletter subscription and blog has been created, it is expected a first publication of the newsletter in June 2022.
Finally, the partners agreed to meet for the next review meeting in person, foreseeably in November 2022.
