The Lurederra Technology Centre participates in the R & D project “Development of nanocoatings for polymer and metal surfaces with easy cleaning properties and corrosion intended for packaging lines” (POLIMETCLEAN), file number RTC-2015-4120-2 of “CHALLENGES-COLLABORATION” call 2015. the objective of this call is to promote technological development, innovation and quality research.
The aim of the project which is being implemented in collaboration with the company Mecanizaciones Alavesas S.L. It is the development of machinery for beverage packaging lines, through the application on their surfaces with novel coatings or release properties easy cleaning and corrosion resistance. Thus, machinery with high added value and long life will be achieved by providing continuous and thorough cleaning operations that occur in the production lines and avoiding the deterioration of machinery due to both the adhesion of dirt, as the corrosion suffering from the environments to which they are exposed. In addition, an application method for simple, transportable and versatile coatings, so that it can be applied both during the construction of the equipment, such as in situ on site customer as part of preventive and corrective maintenance will be developed.
