At the beginning of October, the M42 meeting of the ZEOCAT-3D project took place and each of the project participants presented the improvements made in their respective activities. ZEOCAT-3D is nearing the end of its development and therefore most of the work packages have been completed, especially those focused on the laboratory scale work. Last efforts are mainly focused on scaling up the process, building the reactor, defining and adjusting the final testing conditions and also final impregnation tests and monolith preparation (new compositions).
In addition to the work previously mentioned, another active block very interesting to highlight is the detailed analysis of the developed process from an environmental and social perspective. The Lurederra Technology Center team is in charge of leading these activities.
On the one hand, several Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analyses have been carried out, starting with the study of the catalytic reaction implicit in the process and the different components involved in it, and followed with the study of the entire process as a whole, including reactor and complementary systems, such as the inlet gas purification system.
On the other hand, in order to know people’s point of view on the improvements and results that have been obtained up to now, as well as the technology itself developed in the ZEOCAT-3D project, an interactive questionnaire has been created. It presents a brief introduction to the technology developed together with a series of questions classified into blocks based on their field (technical, economic and environmental). Everyone is welcome to participate in the questionnaire (LINK below).
Deadline for the questionnaire (February 10).
