The WASTE2FRESH European Project, whose objective is to develop an innovative system for the recycling of wastewater and setting-up closed systems in the textile industry, began on the 11th December 2020 with the Project kickoff meeting celebration.
WASTE2FRESH will develop a new system that will integrate catalytic degradation with selective extractions and separation processes, to obtain a closed cycle system that allows the reuse of waste water in textile factories, thus increasing the environmental efficiency of this sector.
This Project will be carried out during 3 years and brings together 17 partners from several countries, six from the European Union, in addition to the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Switzerland, Turkey, Norway and Colombia. Coordinated by KTUN (Konya Technical University, in Turkey), it brings together SMEs, innovation agents, as well as technical and research organizations, including the Lurederra Technology Center.
It will be financed by the European Union within the HORIZON 2020 Program, with expedient number H2020-LCCI-2020-EASME- 958491.
