As part of the development of the SUNRISE project, which focuses on the Safe and Sustainable by Design concept, the 24-month annual meeting was recently held. The event took place at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao and was organized by the project partner GAIKER.
During the three-day meeting, project partners presented the progress made in each of the work packages, all aimed at developing a platform that allows companies to conduct a comprehensive analysis of their most innovative products in terms of safety, as well as economic, social, and environmental impact.
LUREDERRA, as one of the partners involved in a case study for system validation, has been gathering information on its anti-corrosion formulation based on various samples sent to partners for characterization. On this occasion, positive results regarding droplet size during the spray coating application were highlighted. These initial results showed a low level of inhalation risk, as the droplets generated do not affect the bronchi or pulmonary alveoli.
In addition to the annual monitoring meeting, the event featured a participatory workshop on using the current version of the safety and social/environmental impact analysis platform.
