The European project MAREWIND, which addresses the main aspects related to the durability and maintenance of offshore structures, is currently carrying out the validation tests in a real environment, specifically on the structures installed in the Canary Islands, Teeside (North Sea), Gijón, Italy and Portugal. In these facilities new materials developed in the project are being tested, anti-corrosion and antifouling coatings, concrete, composites and the monitoring systems.
These data were shown in the online meeting that was held on May 16th, coinciding with the 42nd month of project development. The current status of the activities of the project and the most immediate actions were also reviewed.
The results of these tests in a real environment, once the monitoring data have been collected in the tested locations, will be announced at the end of project meeting that is scheduled to be held in the month of November at the facilities of It operates in Madrid.
