On February 20, the follow-up meeting for the 30th month of the project took place. FREE4LIB is in the up-scaling stage of each of the technologies involved in the recycling chain, which have been developed and optimized in previous months.
Focusing on Lurederra, in recent months, it has worked on the transformation of recycled precursors, received from partners such as the CSIC and CARTIF, into specific liquid recycled precursors for its use in the FSP equipment. In that sense, several liquid recycled precursor mixtures are already defined and ready for its used on the FSP. Additionally, Lurederra has managed to produce LiNMC811 composition materials, achieving the desired ratio of elements, as well as a single crystalline phase.
In the coming months, main focus will be on the study of the electrochemical character of the latest synthesized batches, as well as the synthesis of new materials from recycled sources.
Next meeting will take place at SAKARYA University (Türkiye), matching with month 36 of the project.
