The European project MAREWIND “MAterials solutions for cost Reduction and Extended service life on WIND off-shore installations” is advancing in its execution and validation tests have already begun in real environments with the prototypes of new materials, as stated in the consortium meeting corresponding to month 30 that was hold online on 10th<\/sup> May.<\/p>\n

The project is developing and testing material solutions to reduce costs and extend service life of offshore wind farms, and to this end, prototype materials have been developed, such as: Anti-corrosion, antifouling and anti-erosion coatings; New concretes; composites and recycling for blades; and, Monitoring.<\/p>\n
