It is also making progress in the larger-scale production of the thermoplastic material formulation developed in previous works from PHA, a polymer obtained from the recovery of compounds of interest recovered from wastewater from food industries.<\/p>\n<p>The AFTERLIFE Project &#8220;Advanced Filtration Technologies for the Recovery and Later conversion of relevant Fractions from wastewater&#8221; is framed in the call for bio-based industries, within the HORIZON2020 framework (H2020-BBI-JTI-2016), and aims to develop a process that, following the principles of the circular economy and zero waste, allows the recovery and revaluation of wastewater from food industries.<\/p>\n<p>In this sense, and now that it is entering its last phase, prototypes are being designed and processes will be validated for those processes of recovery and valorisation of the compounds of interest from the wastewater developed during the previous phases of the research.<\/p>\n<p>To approach the latest progress made by the partners and establish future actions to be carried out, the project&#8217;s \u201c7<sup>TH<\/sup> General Meeting\u201d was held on April 7<sup>th<\/sup>. Currently the project is in its last annuity.
